Livinginbrazil is working together with Reforestar
in our tree planting project, the purchase of land
and the planting of hardwood trees named GUANANDI
in the interior of Santa Catarina .
Starting at one hectares (2.47 acres )
A very good long time investment, children, grandchildren
and your retirement.
You can participate by buying a minimum of one hectare
of land, and investing in the planting of 1000 seedlings.
One hectare of fertile tree planting land in the
interior of Santa Catarina is approximately 15000
us dollars.
The price depends a lot on the location and the amount
of hectares one buys.
The cost of the seedlings including planting are
3000 us dollars.
On one hectare of land we plant 1000 seedlings, in
5 and 10 years there will be a in between cutting
of smaller trees, they will be sold on the local market
.
After 15 to 18 years we are left with approximately
400 fully grown trees.
One fully grown GUANANDI tree gives one cubic meter(35.31
cubic foot) of hard wood
In 2005 the sales price of one cubic meter (35.31
cubic foot) of GUANANDI is 800 us dollars.
We have chooses to plant GUANANDI because it is a
good quality local hardwood tree and it grows well
in the semi tropical climate of Santa Catarina.
You will own the land and the trees, free and clear,
and you can manage your part of the plantation yourself
or for a yearly fee Livinginbrazil will manage it
for you.
According to Brazilian law even if you are not a
permanent resident of brazil, after getting a CPF
(Brazilian tax ID number) at the local Banco do Brasil,
which is available to any tourist in Brazil, it enables
him or her to buy and own trees, homes and land ,free
and clear.
You can build a home on the hectare(s) you buy among
the trees, if you want, and Livinginbrazil will help
you build it or find a reliable contractor in the
area.
The difference with other similar project is that
with us you own the trees and the land, and the home
you build, other project will give you the price of
the trees when they are sold in 18 years and you have
no say in what happens in the mean time.
With us you can do what you want with the land leave
it to anyone in your will or decide to let it grow
forever.
